The magic, energy, and excitement- plus the danger- of a rattlesnake: This design recalls a powerful rattlesnake encounter in my art studio. It came and went, peacefully, without a rattle, all 4 feet or so, leaving me a bit shaken and definitely feeling like I had been blessed by snake energy during the year of the wood-snake, 2025. I decided to surround the rattlesnake with Mariposa tulips (open and as emerging buds) as another way of honoring the beauty of the snake and where I was visited by the snake: Rancho Mariposa, in Redwood Valley, CA.
